Five room types range from the 22 m² Premier rooms to the 40 m² Premier Suite Sea View, which has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchenette. The Sylvia Waecicu Restaurant serves Indonesian and international dishes, also through room service, and breakfast is an Asian buffet with halal options. The 24-hour front desk can arrange car hire and the airport shuttle, and the resort runs regular fast boat trips to Rinca Island and Komodo National Park, home of the Komodo dragons.

Days at Sylvia Hotel & Resort Komodo move between the pools and the sea. The resort is beachfront, with a private beach area, a sun terrace, a garden and a picnic area, and snorkelling, canoeing and hiking are among the activities. The Sylvia Waecicu Restaurant, a bar, a snack bar and a coffee house cover meals and drinks, with special diet menus on request and room service.
The 24-hour front desk offers concierge service, luggage storage and a tour desk, and arranges the airport shuttle and car hire. Parking on site and Wi-Fi are free, and laundry and ironing are available at extra charge.
Sylvia Hotel & Resort Komodo stands right on Waecicu Beach, on the coast north of Labuan Bajo, with Kukusan Island just offshore and the hill of Bukit Sylvia beside the resort. Labuan Bajo's harbour, where most boats leave for Komodo National Park, is a short drive away.
Komodo International Airport is only a few minutes' drive from the resort, which can arrange an airport shuttle. There are several flights a day from Bali, taking about an hour and a half, as well as connections from Jakarta, Surabaya and other Indonesian cities, and direct international flights from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Labuan Bajo town is about 20 minutes away by car; car hire can be arranged at the front desk, and parking at the resort is free. Check-in starts at 14:00: let the property know your arrival time in advance and bring photo ID and a credit card. If you're joining a park tour, arrive the day before and fly out the day after.
Komodo National Park is the big draw. The resort's fast boats reach Komodo Island in about 50 minutes, and day trips usually combine the dragons of Rinca or Komodo with the short trek to the Padar viewpoint, Pink Beach and snorkelling at Manta Point; some trips add the bats leaving Kalong Island at dusk. Operators ask for a copy of your passport with photo at least a day ahead, and park fees are paid in cash. Closer to the resort, the beach is good for swimming and snorkelling, and Bukit Sylvia and Bukit Cinta are the classic sunset viewpoints: arrive about an hour early. In the evening, the Kampung Ujung waterfront in town fills with grills cooking the day's catch; bring cash. The dry season, from April to October, brings clearer skies, January to March is rainy, and June to August is the busiest period.
